Connecting to SSL VPN in Debian/Ubuntu
Indiana University uses SSL VPN, which I had trouble running from the browser (probably due to my OS being AMD64 and wrong Java architecture). Therefore I am now using mad scientist’s script, which works great.
It seems once in a while I need to update my ncsvc java binary, which comes from Indiana University, in order for SSL vpn to work. I can’t get it to do that in my default user, so I have to go to a dummy account and use Opera (just cause it works for me) and open iu.vpn.edu there so that it can download the new version.
Then I just use mad scientist’s script, junipernc.
Also, once in a while, you have to re-generate these two files by deleting them and running junipernc:
~/.vpn.default.cfg
~/.vpn.default.crtThanks to CraigT’s comment at http://holyarmy.org/2009/06/vpn-on-ubuntu-linux-with-juniper-network-connect/
